The 5 variables.

R

Initial relevance

How well the first lines explain the video and connect with the thumbnail and the title.

K

Keyword match

Coherent presence of the title's keywords, without stuffing the text.

S

Structure

Visual order: paragraphs, timestamps, separators and well-organized links.

E

Engagement

Calls to action: subscribing, your own links and an invitation to join the conversation.

C

Useful context

Credits, resources and extra information that add value for people already watching.

How it is read.

Strong

The description works in favor of the video.

Good, improvable

It works, with a few specific adjustments to make.

Weak

It's missing key pieces to back up the click.

Ineffective

It's worth rewriting it from the first lines.

Optional per asset

The D Score is calculated when you share the video's description. It doesn't change the ELM Score or the Clickability Index: it is an independent reading of a part of the video that almost always gets left for last.
